Prof. Dr Md. Habibe Millat, MP is Chairperson for Technical Committee of the Counting Every Maternal Death in Bangladesh (CEMDB). As a lawmaker, he chaired the consultation workshop in different divisions of Bangladesh to generate inputs, feedback and recommendations from local level Stakeholders in supporting of enacting a Bill to prevent Maternal Death by ensuring counting and accountability.
Prof. Millat, also moderated the discussion sessions during all consultations Workshops. Participants also actively discussed and shared their opinion to shape the legal framework. They also expect that the Bill should be encompassed relevant issues rather than only notification.
Prof. Millat, will bring all the feedback, comments and recommendation from different stakeholders to inform the appropriate authority to prepare a law/ bill which will enable Bangladesh to identify each maternal death and ensure the best response for every preventable maternal death.
